Mission:

To enhance environmental education in Prince William County Public Schools by encouraging authentic, inquiry based learning in a natural setting. Programs and field experiences are designed to address and extend the Prince William County curriculum objectives and Virginias’ Standards of Learning.

Goals of the E.A.G.L.E.S. Center:

  • Provide Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences for students in elementary, middle, and high school. These experiences combine schoolyard stewardship, inquiry-driven field investigations, and computer-based analysis, project sharing, and inspiration for further study in science, technology, engineering and math fields.

  • Provide inquiry-based investigations that integrate hands-on science explorations and technology.

  • Assist schools in establishing Outdoor Classrooms and promoting authentic hands on learning.

  • Provide Professional Development Opportunities for teachers to gain critical knowledge that they can utilize to enhance education across curriculum content areas from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
